“India was the Motherland of our race, and Sanskrit the mother of Europe’s languages. India was the Mother of our philosophy, of much of our mathematics. Of ideals embodied in Christianity… of self-government and democracy. In many ways, mother India is the mother of us all.”
- Will Durant (American Historian, 1885-1981)

The rich collection of folk art from our nation
Mithila painting
Originating from the culturally rich region of Mithila(the birthplace of goddess Sita), it was created as a decorative item for Lord Ram and goddess Sita’s wedding on the order of king Janak. It holds immense cultural significance in the Maithil culture and the Mithilanchal region of modern-day Bihar.
Popularised in 1934 by British colonial general William G. Archer who saw these beautiful paintings on walls that had fallen during an earthquake. He motivated female painters to paint this beauty on paper, making it accessible for a wider reception.
Fox My Box desires to take this piece of art, a step further onto modern canvases like your laptops, Apple Airpods and what not. The canvases that no eye could ignore.
Warli painting
Originating from Maharashtra, It is a 2000-year-old art form that wonderfully depicts everyday life, nature and rituals. This art is predominantly created by women from the Warli tribe and consists of symbolic geometric shapes. Circles represent the sun and moon, triangles depict mountains, trees and even humans, while squares denote land and human inventions.
Fox My Box aims to redefine the ancient geometric artwork, from mud walls to your brand new Apple Airpods and preserve the traditional style and give it a new canvas that’ll last much longer. Experience the beauty of Warli painting on your Apple Airpods and let it be the reason behind everyone’s curiosity.
Sanjhi Art
Derived from the Hindi word “saanjh” meaning “evening”, it is a splendid stencil art that involves cutting intricate designs out of paper and placing them on a contrasting background. Although originating from Vrindavan and Mathura, it has different regional variations like Kiri-e art of Japan, the Scherenschnitte art of Germany and the Chittara art of karnataka.
Gond painting
Crafted with natural colors obtained from cow dung, charcoal, and plant sap. These vibrant artworks portray Hindu deities, animals, and natural elements, symbolising luck and prosperity for the Gond tribe. “Gond” originates from a Dravidian word “kond”, meaning “Green mountains”, signifying the tribe’s close association with forests of Madhya Pradesh.
The process begins with the painter outlining the design using charcoal, and then adding natural colors mixed with water with the help of a brush made from bamboo. The painter then waits patiently for each layer of paint to dry before adding the next one.
Add the aesthetic touch of the majestic Gond painting to your brand new Dyson Supersonic and upgrade your daily style.
